王兴民，男，1963年生于青州，三级教授。

自幼爱好书法，几十年持之以恒练习写字，篆、隶、楷、行、草，一一研习，一点一画，一丝不苟。从汉隶入手，后又临习魏碑，以及唐代的欧体、颜体、柳体，酷爱临摹王羲之的行书与草书。书法作品在国家、省、市级书画大赛中多次获奖；被韩国、台湾、日本、香港、美国、英国、澳洲以及国内的许多朋友收藏；响应中央电视台的号召，为“汶川地震后的希望工程”捐送书法作品；经常参加社会公益活动，传承中华优秀文化。

在学生中开展公益书法教学，激发青年学生学习书法的热情，培养书法艺术人才，传播书法艺术，推广传统文化。著有“书法艺术与健康长寿”、“太极运气与书法创作”、“书法艺术的时空思维”、“中国书法艺术与中国传统文化”等书法理论文章。南开大学李新宇教授评价：王兴民书法能力具备篆、隶、楷、行、 草样样拿得起的“五项全能”优势，而且他的作品的价值不仅在于审美，而且承载了更多的书法知识。

重点学习、研究扇面的书法艺术。中国书法的扇面艺术具有其特殊性，其样式喜闻乐见、赏心悦目，书法作品的形式不拘一格、独具匠心。通过一副扇面书法作品，让读者了解中国书法的艺术性，知道汉字不同字体的书写方式，从中看到中国字几千年的演变过程，同时激发学习书法的热情。一张扇面书法作品代表了中国书法艺术的一种形式，记录了中国文字的演变历程，讲述了中国汉字进化的历史故事，体现了中国传统文化的重要元素，反映了作者追求书法艺术、学习历史文化的炙热的心情。决心把中国书法的扇面艺术传承下来、推广出去，也希望书法扇面艺术列为文化遗产，加以保护。

2008年5月加入澳大利亚书法协会；2011年6月获山东省庆祝中国共产党成立九十周年书法展二等奖；2011年8月获海内外中国书画精品展银奖；2011年9月获中国玉兔书画大赛优秀奖；2011年5月成为中国国际书画家协会会员；2011年7月开始担任中国榜书家协会山东分会理事；2011年被中华文化研究院聘为研究员，授予“中华文化名人”称号；2011年、2012年、2013年、2014年连续在中央电视台数字书画频道播出我创作的书法作品，并颁发证书；2012年9月获第二届上海民俗文化节书画大赛书法优秀奖；2012年5月为青州教育捐赠书法作品；2013年5月为雅安地震灾区捐赠书画作品；2014年成为青州市书法家协会会员；2014年11月被评为“青州市书画名家”；2017年9月在山东榜书艺术大展中获优秀奖；2018年2月被誉为中国医护整合联盟“著名书法家”；2019年6月作品选入《一带一路杰出书画领航人物》；2020年8月《凝心聚力 共抗疫情》著名书画家王兴民爱心作品展；2020年10月作品被选入《CCTV艺术领航人物》，2020年11月被授予“中华最具影响力的书画家”；2021年成为中国楹联书法协会会员，收入2021年《书法榜样人物》年鉴。2022年书法作品选入《喜迎二十大-当代名家作品集》，被选为《大国大家》杰出艺术家。2023年7月被评选为中国非物质文化遗产高层次艺术人才。2024年1月编入中国艺术专业人才数据库，2024年3月作为中国艺术名家书法作品在纽约时代广场屏幕展播。

His calligraphy works have won many awards in national, provincial and municipal calligraphy and painting competitions. It is collected by many friends in Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and China. In response to the call of CCTV, donated calligraphy works for the "Hope Project after Wenchuan Earthquake"; Often participate in social welfare activities, inherit the excellent Chinese culture.

To carry out public welfare calligraphy teaching among students, stimulate the enthusiasm of young students to learn calligraphy, cultivate calligraphy art talents, spread calligraphy art, and promote traditional culture. His books include "Calligraphy Art and Health and Longevity", "Tai Chi Luck and Calligraphy Creation", "Time and Space Thinking of Calligraphy Art" and "Chinese Calligraphy Art and Chinese Traditional Culture". Professor Li Xinyu of Nankai University commented: Wang Xingmin's calligraphy ability has the advantage of "pentathlon" that he can pick up seal, Li, Kai, line and grass, and the value of his works lies not only in aesthetics, but also carries more calligraphy knowledge.

The fan art of Chinese calligraphy has its particularity, its style is pleasing to the eye and pleasing to the eye, and the form of calligraphy works is eclectic and unique. In May 2008, he joined the Australian Calligraphy Association.
